I would also like to thank the Board of Education for their continual support throughout all phases of our operations. In addition, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for the dedication exhibited by all of the employees in the district. Our ongoing success is a strong indicator of the growth we have in our professional learning community. Finally, I am honored to serve as the principal of The Dorset School, and look forward to the upcoming school year. Have a safe and restful summer vacation. See you in the fall!
Joke: Where would you find a prehistoric cow? In a moo-seum!
Joke: What do you call a cow that eats your grass? A lawn-mooer!
Keep smiling!

Dear Dorset,
As 38 years of teaching at my beloved Dorset come to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to share part of a quote from Richard Dreyfuss in his movie, "Mr. Holland's Opus".
"Thank you for the honor and privilege in trying to be a “compass” in your child's life". Not only in your son/daughter’s life, but in generations of families over my years at Dorset.
Thank you Dorset, and don't forget to “do something nice for yourself”.
Mr. C.
Hat Day!!
Our Hat Day last Tuesday was quite successful (we raised over $65 for the American Cancer Society), and so we are holding another one – Thursday, June 12th. Donate a dollar, and wear your favorite hat. Students purchase a “sticker” for $1 in order to be able to wear their hat during the day. “Stickers” will be available Tuesday morning at the Nurse’s Office.

Over 16,000 meals served!
Whew! We did it. Yes, We! First and foremost, thank you to all the families and staff who supported the breakfast and lunch program which contributed to another successful year. Thank you to all that made it possible by lending me a helping hand. To name a few: Lucille McNulty for doing a wonderful job serving the students breakfast; Valerie McMorrow for a years worth of hard boiled eggs; Derek Chalmers and Hazel Prouty for assisting me in preparing many meals including our Thanksgiving Feast. Hazel Prouty was also our substitute lunch lady. Thank you to Priscilla Gaiotti, Michelle Greene, and Kay Schlieder for assisting K-5 on the serving line. A commendable job again was done by our front desk person, Mimi Fersen, who kept accurate lunch counts and collections while assisting me to serve lunch on a daily basis. A big thank you to Dick Cepela for his excellent accounting and many other meal tasks behind the scenes and his willingness to assist the lunch program wherever needed.
With Great appreciation and wishing you all a great summer,
Jill Mosby
